Clash of Clans Attack Planner: an AI attack strategy for any base

Upload the war scout screenshot and get a war caller’s plan: the strategy this layout is weak to, an army built from your actual troops and levels, and the deployment steps in order.

Optional. In Clash of Clans, tap your name at the top left: your tag (#…) is under it. Without it, the plan uses a standard army.

Only if your camps aren’t maxed yet: the army is cut to fit it. Leave it blank for your Town Hall’s max (it can only go lower).

Drop a screenshot of the enemy base

War scout view works best. JPEG, PNG, or WebP — analyzed in memory, never stored.

Your real army, not a template

With your player tag, the plan is built from your exact troops, spells, heroes, and levels via the official Supercell API. Units you haven’t unlocked — or super troops you can’t boost yet — can’t appear in the comp; your heroes fit your Hero Hall slots, your troops fit the max army size for your Town Hall, and spells, the siege machine, and the Clan Castle request fit your Town Hall. That’s enforced in code, not just asked of the AI. The API doesn’t show camp levels, so if your camps aren’t maxed yet, enter your army camp space and the army is cut to fit it.

What it won’t pretend to know

Traps, defense levels, and Clan Castle troops are invisible in every scout view — to everyone. The planner treats them as risks to prepare for, and your screenshot is analyzed in memory, never stored.

How does the Attack Planner read a base?

The Attack Planner reads your screenshot once, the way a war caller scouts. It estimates the enemy Town Hall from the Town Hall itself and from buildings that only exist at certain levels: a Scattershot means Town Hall 13 or higher, a standalone Eagle Artillery means Town Hall 11 to 16, and from Town Hall 17 the Eagle is merged into the Town Hall. It lists the defenses it can actually see, picks the side the layout is weakest on, and calls the strategy that beats it.

What does the planner check in code?

The planner checks the army after the AI writes it. With your player tag, it pulls your troops, spells, heroes, pets and equipment from the official Supercell API and removes anything you haven’t unlocked, including super troops you can’t boost yet. Then it holds the plan to your Town Hall: Hero Hall slots, troop housing, spell space, one siege machine and what your Clan Castle can hold. Every cut is listed under the plan, so you know what changed and why.

What can’t the planner see?

The planner can’t see traps, defense levels or Clan Castle troops, because no scout view shows them. It plans around them as risks (where to hold a Poison, what a hidden Tesla line could do) instead of guessing. Directions are clock positions on your own screenshot: 12 o’clock is the top edge and 6 o’clock the bottom. Your screenshot is read in memory and never stored.

Frequently asked questions

How do I plan an attack in Clash of Clans war?

Scout the base, pick the strategy the layout is weak to, and build the army you can actually train. The Attack Planner does all 3 in one pass: upload the war scout screenshot, add your player tag, and it reads the layout, calls the strategy, and builds the comp from your real troops and levels.

Does the attack planner use my actual army?

Yes — that’s the point. With your player tag, it pulls your exact troops, spells, heroes, equipment, and levels from the official Supercell API and recommends only units you own. Anything you haven’t unlocked — including super troops you can’t boost yet — is filtered out of the plan in code, and your heroes, troops, spells, siege machine, and Clan Castle request are held to what your Town Hall allows (Hero Hall slots, the max army size for your Town Hall, spell space). The API doesn’t show your army camp levels, so if your camps aren’t maxed yet, enter your army camp space (for example 280 at Town Hall 15) and the troops are cut to fit it.

Does the planner suggest hero equipment I don’t own?

No. With your player tag, each hero in the plan gets 2 equipment pieces and a pet from what your account owns, at the levels the official API reports. A piece you don’t have is never shown as yours: it is swapped for one your hero has equipped now, and the plan says so.

Can it see the enemy’s traps and Clan Castle troops?

No — no tool can. Traps and Clan Castle contents are invisible in every scout view. The planner flags them as risks to prepare for (poison timing, trigger paths) instead of pretending to know them.

Is the Clash of Clans attack planner free?

Yes. The strategy call and enemy-base read are free with no account. A free TrophyCoach account unlocks the full army comp, spells, and the step-by-step execution plan — and your screenshot re-runs automatically after signup.

What’s the best attack strategy in 2026?

It depends on the base — that’s why war callers scout first. Air defenses clustered on one side favor dragon spam or lalo from the uncovered lane; a centered Town Hall with big compartments favors Queen charge hybrid; exposed wall seams invite ground smash attacks. The planner matches the strategy to the layout you upload.

What do the clock directions in my attack plan mean?

They’re positions on your scout screenshot, read like a clock face laid over the base: 12 o’clock is the top edge of the screenshot, 3 o’clock the right edge, 6 o’clock the bottom, and 9 o’clock the left. So “approach from 6 o’clock” means start the attack from the bottom side of the base as it looks in your screenshot, and “funnel at 7 o’clock” means open the funnel a little left of the bottom.

Is the Attack Planner an attack simulator?

No. The Attack Planner plans the attack and you play it: it reads 1 screenshot of the enemy base and gives you a strategy, an army and the deployment steps in order, but it doesn’t simulate the battle or promise a result. Traps and Clan Castle troops are hidden in every scout view, so the plan treats them as risks to prepare for.

Can I copy the planned army into Clash of Clans?

Yes. Under a full plan, Copy army opens Clash of Clans with the planned troops, spells and siege machine loaded into 1 camp slot, using Supercell’s own Copy Army link. Heroes and the Clan Castle request stay manual, because a copied army can’t carry them.

Do I need my player tag to use it?

No — without a tag you get a standard army for the enemy base’s estimated Town Hall level. With a tag, the comp is personalized to your unlocked troops and their levels, which is what makes the plan executable. To find your tag, tap your name at the top left in Clash of Clans: the tag (#…) is under it.
