1. Overview
TrophyCoach gives AI coaching for Clash Royale, Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans on our website and in the TrophyCoach iOS app. TrophyCoach is an unofficial fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Supercell. We collect only what we need to run the service, we never sell personal data, and we do not show ads. This policy explains what we store, who processes it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. It applies to both the website and the app.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the information needed to run the service:
- Account information — your email address and sign-in data. If you use Sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email address (or Apple’s private relay address) and an account identifier from that provider.
- Player tags and game data — the Clash Royale, Brawl Stars and Clash of Clans player tags you link or enter, and the public profile, battle and gameplay data we fetch for them from Supercell’s official API.
- Chat history and coaching memory — the messages you exchange with the AI coach and the support assistant. The coach also remembers details you tell it (for example your goals or the decks you play) to personalize its advice across conversations; you can clear this memory in the app at any time.
- Screenshots — images you upload for analysis, such as a Clash of Clans village. They are processed to produce the analysis; TrophyCoach does not store the image.
- Purchase status — whether you have a subscription, its plan and status, and transaction identifiers from Stripe (website) or from Apple through RevenueCat (in-app purchases). We never receive your full card details.
- Usage and crash data — which features you use, app and device version, and crash reports, so we can fix problems and improve the product.
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications in the app, a device token used to deliver them.
- Video Coach — the play-by-play of a battle you record and a few pictures of the arena and of cards in hand, which your device extracts from the recording and sends; and the review we write. The video itself stays on your device unless you choose to send it to us after a review (see section 5).
- Support requests — tickets and messages you send to our team.
3. How We Use Data
We use this data to provide the service: fetching your games, generating analyses and coaching, keeping your account and subscription in sync between the website and the app, and sending account, billing and product emails. We also use it to measure how the product is used, to fix bugs, and to prevent abuse of the free allowance. We do not sell personal data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
4. AI Coaching (OpenAI, OpenRouter and TypeSafe)
AI coaching is generated by OpenAI, a third-party AI provider. When you use an AI feature — the coach chat, battle and deck analysis, map and draft help, base analysis, or focus suggestions — the content needed to answer is sent to OpenAI: your chat messages, player tags, the relevant battle and gameplay data, and any screenshots you upload. OpenAI processes this data to generate the response, as our service provider, and handles and retains it under its API data-usage policies. We do not send OpenAI your password or payment details. To understand what you are asking for in the deck coach chat, on the website and in the app — for example, whether you want a new deck built or a card swapped — the text of your latest deck-chat messages (up to four) is also sent to TypeSafe’s Jev model through OpenRouter. It returns a short classification of your request and nothing else. We send only the message text: not your email address, account details or payment data. OpenRouter and TypeSafe process it as our service providers, under their own data policies.
5. Video Coach (Anthropic)
Video Coach reviews a Clash Royale battle you record on your phone. The recording is read on your own device, and the video stays there unless you choose to send it to us (see below). What your device sends us is a play-by-play of the battle (what was played and when) and a few pictures of the arena and of cards in hand, which can show in-game names that appear on screen. Anthropic, a third-party AI provider, receives the play-by-play and those pictures to write your review, and processes them as our service provider under its API terms. We do not send Anthropic your email address, account details or payment data. We delete the pictures within 24 hours of receiving them. If you flag something in your review as wrong while they are still stored, we ask whether you will let us keep that review’s pictures for 14 days so our team can check what went wrong. We keep them only if you say yes; only our team sees them, they are deleted after 14 days, and you can delete them sooner from the review. If you tell us a review did not help, or flag something in it as wrong, we may also ask whether you want to send us that review’s recording so our team can see what went wrong. We upload it only if you choose to. It is the whole recording as it is: its sound, anything else that was on your screen while you recorded (such as notifications), and the details saved in the file, such as when it was recorded, your time zone and the kind of phone. It is kept in our private storage at Cloudflare; only our team watches it, only to fix Video Coach, and we never share or post it. We delete it 30 days after you send it, and you can delete it sooner from the review. The play-by-play and your finished review are kept until you delete your account.
6. Who Processes Your Data
We share data only with the service providers that run TrophyCoach, and only what each one needs:
- Supabase — database and account sign-in.
- Vercel — website and API hosting.
- Hostinger — server hosting for background processing, including writing Video Coach reviews.
- OpenAI — generates AI coaching (see section 4).
- Anthropic — writes Video Coach reviews from the play-by-play and the pictures your device sends (see section 5).
- Cloudflare — stores the Video Coach recordings you choose to send us (see section 5).
- OpenRouter and TypeSafe — classify what you ask for in the deck coach chat (see section 4).
- Supercell — we send player tags to Supercell’s official game API to fetch public game data.
- Stripe — payments for subscriptions bought on the website.
- Apple and RevenueCat — in-app purchases in the iOS app. Apple bills the purchase; RevenueCat reports the subscription status to us.
- PostHog — product analytics and crash reports (see section 9).
- Expo — delivers push notifications to the app.
- Google and Apple — only if you choose to sign in with them.
- Resend — sends account, billing and product emails.
- hCaptcha — checks that website sign-ups and password resets come from a person; it receives your IP address and the challenge response.
- Legal compliance — we may disclose data if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
7. Data Retention
Account data, linked player tags, analyses and the app’s Coach conversation are kept until you delete your account. Support assistant transcripts, other coaching chat transcripts (deck, map and base chats on the website and in the app), and the coaching notes derived from them are deleted automatically 90 days after the conversation’s last message. Screenshots are not stored. Video Coach pictures are deleted within 24 hours of being sent, unless you agree to let us keep a flagged review’s pictures for 14 days to check a mistake (you can delete them sooner); Video Coach recordings you choose to send us are deleted 30 days after you send them (you can delete them sooner). The play-by-play and your Video Coach reviews are kept until you delete your account. Support tickets are kept until they are resolved. Billing records are kept as tax and accounting law requires; Stripe and Apple keep their own records of your payments.
8. Deleting Your Account
You can permanently delete your account at any time:
- In the app — open the account sheet (person icon) and choose Delete account.
- On the website — go to Account → Settings and use Delete account.
- Deletion is immediate and erases your account and the data linked to it, including your Video Coach reviews, any pictures still stored (even ones you agreed to let us keep) and any recordings you sent us. You can also email us to request deletion.
- A subscription bought on the website is cancelled when you delete your account.
- Deleting your account does NOT cancel a subscription bought in the iOS app. Apple bills it, so cancel it in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or it will keep renewing.
9. Analytics, Cookies and Your Choices
You stay in control:
- Website — essential cookies keep you signed in and secure. Optional analytics cookies (PostHog) load only if you accept them in the cookie banner; you can change your choice any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
- iOS app — the app sends product analytics and crash reports to PostHog. When you are signed in, these are linked to your account email so we can help with problems you report. They are never used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Coaching memory — clear what the coach remembers about you from the app at any time; it is also deleted with your account.
- Notifications — you can turn push notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.
- Email — unsubscribe from product emails via the link in any message.
10. Children
TrophyCoach is not directed to children under 13, and you must be at least 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to create an account. If you believe a child under that age has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and limit access to production systems. However, no online service can guarantee 100% security—please use a strong password and keep your credentials safe.
12. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows when it last changed, and we will notify you of material changes by email or in the app. Questions or requests? Email us at contact@trophycoach.com. We aim to respond within 72 hours.
