Deck Builder
Pick 8 cards and get an instant, data-backed deck grade
Build and Rate a Clash Royale Deck
The deck builder grades any 8-card Clash Royale deck out of 100 the moment you assemble it — no AI wait, no login. Pick cards from the full catalog and the score reruns instantly across five components, so you see exactly how each swap moves the grade. Synergy and meta numbers come from 25M+ real ladder battles at your chosen trophy range, not from opinion.
How does the 5-component deck score work?
- Synergy (30%) — the average real win rate of every card pair in your deck, from the live card-synergy pipeline.
- Meta alignment (25%) — how closely your deck overlaps the top tracked decks winning at your trophy range right now.
- Structure (22%) — whether your deck covers the core roles: a win condition, a small spell, a big spell, a defensive building or tank-killer, air defense, and a cheap cycle card.
- Elixir curve (13%) — rewards a balanced 2.6–4.2 average and flags top-heavy decks with no cheap cycle card.
- Level readiness (10%) — added only when you link your tag, using your real card levels (Level 9 → 0, Level 15 → 100).
What is the Test Lab?
The Test Lab estimates how your deck performs against the current meta field. It matches your 8 cards to the closest tracked archetype, then computes an expected win rate by weighting every recorded matchup by how common that opponent is right now — so you see your toughest common matchups and your best ones before you ever queue. Like the grade, it’s deterministic and drawn from real ladder battles, not a simulation.

Frequently Asked Questions
- How is my deck scored in the Clash Royale Deck Builder?
- The deck builder scores your 8 cards out of 100 across five weighted components: Synergy (30%), Meta alignment (25%), Structure (22%), Elixir curve (13%), and Level readiness (10%). Synergy and meta scores come from 10M+ real ladder battles at your trophy range; structure and curve come from deck-construction rules. The grade (S, A, B, C, or D) updates instantly every time you add or remove a card.
- Is the Clash Royale Deck Builder free?
- Yes. The deck builder is 100% free with no login required. You can build a deck from scratch, rate it out of 100, copy a Play link straight into Clash Royale, and share the deck by URL — all without an account. A Pro account adds the ability to save decks to your Deck Lab workspace.
- How is the Deck Builder different from the Deck Rater?
- The Deck Builder is for assembling a deck card by card with a live 0–100 grade and a Test Lab win-rate estimate. The Deck Rater is the fastest way to rate a finished deck: paste your 8 cards and read the verdict with improvement hints. Both are free and deterministic, and for AI-written swap suggestions either one hands your exact deck to the Deck Doctor in one click.
- Can the Deck Builder rate off-meta decks?
- Yes. Off-meta decks still get a full grade — they just score lower on the Meta alignment component (25%) because they overlap less with the top tracked decks. Structure, synergy, and curve still reward a well-built off-meta deck, so a clean rogue deck can still grade B or higher.
- What's a good deck score in Clash Royale?
- A score of 80+ (grade A or S) is strong: a clear win condition, a small and big spell, a defensive building or tank-killer, air defense, a cheap cycle card, and a balanced 2.6–4.2 elixir average. Scores of 60–79 (grade B or C) usually mean a missing role or an awkward curve. Below 60 (grade D) typically means two competing win conditions, no spell, or a top-heavy curve.
- Does the Deck Builder use my card levels?
- Only if you link your player tag. When connected, a Level readiness component (10%) is added to the score using your real card levels (Level 9 → 0, Level 15 → 100), and owned cards are highlighted in the picker. Without a linked tag the score renormalizes across the other four components, so the grade is still accurate.
- Does the Deck Builder work with fewer than 8 cards?
- Yes. The grade, elixir curve, and archetype update from the first card you add, so you can see how each pick changes the deck. The "Play this deck" link unlocks once you have exactly 8 cards, since Clash Royale only imports complete decks.
- Did the deck builder update for the 2026 meta?
- Yes. The Synergy and Meta alignment components read live data from the tracked-decks pipeline, which refreshes every cycle from current ladder battles. Switch the trophy range selector to score your deck against the meta at your exact ladder bracket, from under 5,000 to 9,000+ trophies.
- What is the Test Lab's expected win rate?
- The Test Lab estimates your win rate against the current meta field by matching your deck to the closest tracked archetype and weighting every recorded matchup by how common that opponent is right now. It surfaces your toughest common matchups and your best ones, deterministically, from real ladder battles — so you can spot a bad matchup before you queue.
- How do I mark a card as its Hero or Evolution form?
- Every card tile shows a Hero and/or Evo button underneath it — tap the button to switch that card to its Hero or Evolution form, and tap it again to go back to the base card. The buttons only appear on cards that have that form in the game (16 Heroes and 44 Evolutions as of September 2026). The game gives you one Evolution slot, one Hero slot, and one Wild slot that takes either, so you can mark at most 2 Evolutions, at most 2 Heroes, and 3 forms in total; a button that would break that is greyed out. The score and the Test Lab treat the card as that form, and the forms travel with the deck when you open it in Deck Doctor.
