How Do I Find the Best Clash Royale Deck With My Cards?
The Deck Finder finds the best deck with your cards in two steps: enter your player tag (no account needed), then add up to 3 cards you want to play to Must include. Your Evolutions and Heroes show up as one-tap picks, and every card shows how many tracked decks at your trophies have it. The list keeps only the decks that have all of your picks, in the same ranking order as always. Want a deck built for you from your cards instead, with cards to include or skip? Try the Deck Builder.
Most Clash Royale deck builders hand you the same five “best decks” everyone sees on a tier list — decks you often can’t actually play because you’re missing a Champion or four cards are under-leveled. The Deck Finder is different. Enter your player tag (no account needed) and it re-ranks the most-played decks at your trophy range by a single score: how popular the deck is at your trophies × the cards you own × the levels you own them at. A deck you hold at high levels can outrank a more popular deck you’d field under-levelled, so the strongest deck for your collection comes first.
How to build a good deck in Clash Royale
Every strong deck follows the same eight-card formula: a clear win condition, a reliable defensive building or anchor, a cheap cycle card, a mini-tank, a splash/swarm answer, a small spell (Log/Zap), a big spell (Fireball/Poison), and an air answer. The Deck Finder doesn’t build decks from this formula: it lists the decks players are actually running at your trophies. To check any deck against it, open the deck in Deck Doctor — every result has a “Check in Deck Doctor” button.
Which deck archetypes can I build?
- Cycle — fast, cheap decks like Hog 2.6 and Royal Giant cycle that out-rotate opponents.
- Bait — Log Bait and Goblin Barrel decks that punish bad spell timing.
- Beatdown — Golem, Lava Hound, and Giant decks that build a big push behind a tank.
- Control — Graveyard Poison, X-Bow, and Mortar decks that win on chip and defense.
- Bridge spam — Bandit, Battle Ram, and Royal Hogs decks that pressure both lanes.
Filter by archetype, win condition, elixir cap, or Champion. Decks that differ by one card share an entry with a “+N variants” button, so the top of the list holds more real choices. At 9,000+ the decks come mostly from Ranked battles; Trophy Road above 9,000 uses the same list for now. A deck is marked “playable today” only when you own all eight cards, and one that is a single card away says so. Evolutions aren’t checked yet: the tracked decks list base cards only, so “playable” means you own the eight cards, not the Evolutions top players run with them. Found one you like? Copy it straight to Clash Royale from its card. Want to build a deck from scratch and grade it instantly instead? Try the Deck Builder to assemble any 8 cards and get a deterministic 0–100 score and elixir curve. Once you’ve picked a deck, run it through the Deck Doctor to grade it and fine-tune the last card, or read the deck building guide to learn the formula in depth. Climbing a specific arena? Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I build the best Clash Royale deck for my cards?
- Enter your player tag (no account needed) and the Deck Finder re-ranks the most-played decks at your trophy range by how many of their 8 cards you own and the levels you own them at. Instead of a generic "best deck" you can't build, the decks you can field at your best levels rise to the top. Pick one and copy it to Clash Royale, or check it in Deck Doctor first.
- How does Deck Finder rank decks?
- Each deck gets a composite score = meta strength × your collection completion × a level factor. Meta strength comes mostly from the deck's rank by player count at your trophy range; a win rate only counts where we publish one, and the deck card shows the battles behind it. Collection completion grows with how many of the 8 cards you own. The level factor compares the deck's card levels with your own median card level: each level above lifts the deck about 1.5×, each level below drops it the same, so a deck you hold at high levels can outrank a more popular deck you would field under-levelled.
- Can I find a deck that uses specific cards or my Evolutions?
- Yes. Add up to 3 cards to Must include and Deck Finder keeps only the tracked decks at your trophy range that have all of them, still ranked by the cards you own and their levels. With a tag loaded, your Evolutions and Heroes appear as one-tap picks, each showing how many decks have that card. The deck lists don't track Evo or Hero slots yet, so an Evo Knight pick finds decks with Knight.
- What does "playable today" mean?
- A deck is marked playable only when you own all 8 cards. Evolutions are not checked yet: the tracked decks list base cards only, so "playable" means you own the 8 cards, not the Evolutions top players run with them. A deck missing exactly 1 card is flagged "one card short"; decks missing 2 or more are flagged "stretch". Turn on "Only playable today" to hide everything you cannot field right now.
- Why isn't my Champion or Tower Troop in the recommendations?
- Deck Finder only shows the most-played decks at your trophy range. If your Champion isn't in any of them, that reflects what players at your trophies actually run right now. Use the Champion filter to list only the tracked decks that run your Champion (or none at all), alongside the archetype and win-condition filters.
- How is this different from MetaDecks or RoyaleAPI tier lists?
- A tier list ranks decks for everyone. Deck Finder re-ranks the decks players run at your trophies by the cards you own and their levels, so a slightly less popular deck you can play today often beats one you'd need to upgrade 4 cards to use. Every deck also has a one-tap copy link to Clash Royale and a hand-off to Deck Doctor.
- Do I need a paid account?
- No. Deck Finder is free and needs no account: enter any player tag. Signing in and linking your tag just loads your decks automatically. Saving decks is free with a free account. Pro adds the rest of the Deck Lab (Find a Deck, Counter This, War Day and Upgrade Path) and the Royale IQ + Tilt Meter.
