What should I upgrade first in Clash of Clans?

Keep every upgrade queue busy: heroes take a Builder, troops and spells the Laboratory, pets the Pet House, and hero equipment the Blacksmith, and they all run at the same time. This tool leads your plan with the most urgent pick from each queue, then ranks the rest. Among heroes, the further a hero is below your cap the higher it ranks, weighted toward the Archer Queen, Grand Warden and Royal Champion. Every pick is checked against the exact cap your Town Hall allows — anything already at its cap is left off the plan.

Is this different from the in-game Recommended list?

Yes. The in-game Recommended list, like the suggested upgrades the Builder menu shows, sorts the game’s own upgrade suggestions, while this tool ranks heroes, troops, spells, pets and hero equipment by how far each sits below your Town Hall cap, weighted toward the 3 heroes and the units that carry current war armies, and it leads with 1 pick per upgrade queue so no Builder, Laboratory, Pet House or Blacksmith sits idle. Anything already at your Town Hall cap is left off the plan.

Does the upgrade advisor see my buildings and defenses?

No — the official Clash of Clans API exposes heroes, troops, spells, and hero equipment, but no base layouts or building levels. The advisor covers the full army-side upgrade surface: heroes, laboratory, and equipment.

Is the Clash of Clans upgrade tool free?

How current is the upgrade data?

Hero caps reflect the Town Hall 18 era (Hero Hall 12, November 2025 update) — up to level 110 Barbarian King and Archer Queen. Hero caps checked against the Hero Hall table, October 2026 (King from Town Hall 4, Queen from Town Hall 8).

Can I check any player, not just my own account?

Yes — any public player tag works. Player tags and progression stats are public via the official Supercell API.
