How does the Upgrade Advisor decide which card to upgrade?

When you type in your 8 cards, the Upgrade Advisor measures each card against the median level of the cards you entered, then adds a role weight that favours win conditions most, then heroes, then evolution-eligible cards, then buildings and spells, then support troops. The card with the highest total is the top pick, and the full upgrade order is shown under it. It does not compare you with a trophy-range average, because we have no sourced level-by-trophy table. When you paste your tag instead, it lists your current deck's lowest-level cards first.

Should I upgrade my win condition or hero first?

Generally, upgrade your win condition first since it's the card that directly takes towers. In manual entry, the advisor weights a win condition slightly above a hero, but levels behind count for more than role, so a hero that trails the rest of your deck by 2 levels still outranks a win condition that is level with it.

What are evolution-eligible cards and why do they matter?

Evolution cards are specific cards that can transform mid-battle once charged, gaining enhanced abilities. Leveling an evolution-eligible card is often more impactful than leveling a regular card because the evolution adds an entirely new mechanic to your deck.

Do I need to log in to use the Upgrade Advisor?

No. The Upgrade Advisor is completely free with no login required. Enter your 8 deck cards with their current levels, or paste your player tag, to get an instant recommendation.

Can I paste my tag?

Yes. Choose "Paste your tag" and enter a Clash Royale player tag, with no sign-in needed. The Upgrade Advisor reads the current deck on that profile and shows up to 3 next deck upgrades, lowest level first, plus what your next King Tower level needs. While the upgrade-cost table is current, each upgrade is marked Ready or with the copies it still needs, and shows its gold cost. If the Clash Royale API does not answer, it uses the last saved copy of the profile when one exists; otherwise it asks you to try again. "Save this as your weekly plan" opens the Upgrade Planner for that tag.

How does the planner pick the order?

In the Upgrade Planner, deck cards below your deck's highest level come first, lowest level first; a deck card on your King Tower path that already has the copies for every level is planned up to the card level that King Tower level needs. Then come the cards that reach your next King Tower level, then everything else, cheapest gold first. This order is our editorial choice, built only from your card levels, copies and gold. The Upgrade Advisor's tag mode lists only your current deck's cards, lowest level first, then least gold, and shows the first 3. Manual entry, where you type 8 cards and levels, ranks by how far each card trails your deck's median level, weighted by role.
