What’s this base for?

We use the tag to get the base’s exact Town Hall level.

Village view or war scout view. JPEG, PNG, or WebP — it’s analyzed in memory and never stored.

Why a screenshot?

The official Clash of Clans API has no base layouts — a screenshot is the only way any tool can see your design. Yours is downscaled in your browser, analyzed in memory, and never stored.

What it won’t pretend to know

Trap positions and exact building levels aren’t visible in any screenshot — to anyone. Every call the analyzer makes is grounded in what’s actually visible, and the Town Hall level comes from the player tag, not a guess from the image.

What does the base checker look at?

The base checker reads your screenshot like a war scout: compartment size, how the Air Defenses are spread, splash coverage, how easy the Clan Castle is to lure, and how exposed the Town Hall is. It grades the layout for what you use it for (War, Ranked or Farming), marks each weak spot on your screenshot, and shows how your base has actually been defending from your own battle log. Think of it as a base rater and scanner in one, with a fix for every problem it finds.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if my Clash of Clans base is good?

Enter your player tag, upload a screenshot of your base (village view or war scout view), and the analyzer grades it S–D for your exact Town Hall level, ranks 2–5 weaknesses by severity, names the attack strategy that exploits each one, and gives one layout move that fixes it — the same read a war teammate would give when scouting.

Why does the base analyzer need a screenshot and a player tag?

The official Clash of Clans API exposes heroes, troops, and stats — but no base layouts or building positions, so a screenshot is the only way any tool can see your layout. The player tag gives the exact Town Hall level from the profile, so the grade and the attacks it names are judged for the right level instead of a guess from the image. TrophyCoach analyzes the screenshot in memory and never stores it.

Can the analyzer see my traps and building levels?

No — and no tool can. Traps are invisible in every view, and exact building levels aren’t readable from a screenshot. The analyzer is honest about this: it reads layout structure (compartments, air coverage, Town Hall exposure) and takes the Town Hall level from the player tag rather than guessing it.

Is the Clash of Clans base analyzer free?

Yes. The defense grade, verdict, and your single worst weakness with its fix are free with no account. A free TrophyCoach account includes one full base read a week — the full ranked weakness list, strengths, and the complete layout read — and the screenshot you already uploaded re-runs automatically after signup. TrophyCoach Pro removes the weekly limit.

What makes a base weak in 2026?

Three classic weaknesses: air defenses clustered on one side (punished by dragon spam and lalo from the uncovered lane), an exposed or near-edge Town Hall (free value for any attack), and oversized compartments that let ground pushes snowball. The analyzer checks all three plus splash coverage and Clan Castle pull range.

Is my base good for Legend League or Ranked?

Pick Ranked before you upload and the base rater grades the layout for Ranked: conceding the fewest stars across many attackers, where an easy two-star counts as much as an easy three-star. It also shows your last ranked defenses from your battle log, Legend League ones included (how many were three-starred and two-starred), and, once you have 10 or more ranked ones, whether that is better or worse than typical for bases of your Town Hall attacked by the same Town Hall in ranked battles. War and Farming bases are graded on their own terms.

Is this a base rater, a base checker or a base scanner?

All three. The Base Analyzer scans your screenshot, checks the layout for 2–5 weak spots, rates it S to D for your Town Hall, and gives a fix for each weak spot. It never pretends to see traps or building levels, which no screenshot shows.

Can I analyze an opponent’s base?

Use the Attack Planner for that. The Base Analyzer grades your own base for your Town Hall and tells you what to fix; the Attack Planner reads an opponent’s base screenshot and gives you the army and the attack plan to three-star it, built from your own troops and heroes.

What if the screenshot and my tag don’t match?

If the screenshot looks two or more Town Halls away from your tag’s Town Hall, the analyzer still lists the weaknesses but holds the grade, since grading for the wrong level would mislead you. Check the tag and upload again. For a free account, the first mismatch each week doesn’t use your weekly read.

Does it work for Builder Base and war bases?

It reads home village and war bases only. A Builder Base (built around a Builder Hall or O.T.T.O’s Outpost) or a Clan Capital district (built around a Capital Hall or District Hall) has no Town Hall or Clan Castle to read, so the analyzer says which one it saw and asks for a home-village screenshot instead.
