Two separate Clash of Clans changes explain most "where did it go?" questions: Clash Anytime (live since March 27, 2025) removed troop training and Hero healing, and a new interface that Supercell announced on October 8, 2026 will move many buttons around the edge of the village once the update reaches your game.
Do I still need to train troops, pay for my army or heal my Heroes?
No. Training your army has cost zero Elixir or Dark Elixir since Supercell's June 2022 Home Village Changes update, and since the Clash Anytime update on March 27, 2025, Troops, Spells and Siege Machines no longer require training to join your army and Heroes no longer need to be healed. Two things still cost resources: Clan Castle donations cost the donor Elixir or Dark Elixir depending on the troop or spell, and boosting a Super Troop costs Dark Elixir or a Super Potion. A Hero that is being upgraded still can't attack until the upgrade finishes.
Is the new interface live?
Supercell's October 8, 2026 post says the new interface "will be live in the game soon" and gives no date. If your game still shows the old buttons, the update hasn't reached you yet, and everything is still where it has always been. Once it arrives, the first login shows a short walkthrough of the new Build menu. There is no option to switch back to the old interface.
Where will my buttons be after the update?
These moves apply only after the update reaches your game. Battle sits at bottom left and Build at bottom right.

Do TrophyCoach tools still work?
Tools that read your player tag keep working: they use the official Clash of Clans API, which does not depend on the in-game interface.
