The Merge Tactics Comp Builder is an interactive planner for Clash Royale’s auto-battler mode. Merge Tactics rounds are won by fielding the strongest board, and board strength comes from stacking troops that share a trait to hit synergy breakpoints. This tool tracks those breakpoints for you as you add troops — so you can see, at a glance, that you’re one Noble troop away from the next tier, or that your Electric pair is already maxed.

How to use it

Tap troops to add them to your comp (up to the 6-troop board cap), pick a Ruler for the ability that fits your game plan, and add equipment — including trait-granter equipment that counts toward a trait. The synergy panel updates live. When you’re happy with the board, hit Coach my comp for an AI read on your grade, curve, and swaps, or Copy link to share it. Pair it with the Season 11 hub for the full trait and equipment breakdown and the Ruler tier list to choose your commander.

How do trait breakpoints work in Merge Tactics?

Trait breakpoints count distinct troops of a trait on your board. Most traits activate at 2, 4, and 6 members — for example, fielding two Clan troops unlocks the first Clan bonus. Electric is the exception: it activates at 1 and maxes at 2, because only two Electric troops exist (Electro Giant and Electro Wizard).

How many troops can I field in Merge Tactics?

The base maximum team size in Merge Tactics is 6 troops. Some Rulers change it: Elixir Loong grants +1 team size (7 troops), while Battle Machine costs −1 (5 troops). The builder caps your comp at the base 6.
