Brawl Stars November 2026 Update: Ranked Refresh, Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby, and Every Balance Change

Updated 2026-11-0318 min read

Quick answer: The Brawl Stars November 2026 update is a Ranked Refresh: Ranked now requires Power 11 brawlers at every rank, unlocks at 5,000 Trophies instead of 1,000, and resets you 2 ranks a season instead of 6. It also adds 3 brawlers (Legendary Thunder Frogs, Mythics Rey and Ruby), Buffies for 6 brawlers, Hypercharges for Cosmo and Vince, 10 buffs and 12 nerfs led by 7 cuts each to Shade and Gus.

Brawl Stars November 2026 Update: Ranked Refresh, Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby, and Every Balance Change

Supercell's November 3, 2026 release notes change 27 brawlers' stats (10 buffed, 12 nerfed, 5 reworked mid-kit), raise Ranked's entry bar from 1,000 to 5,000 Trophies and from Power 9 to Power 11, double the free maxed Ranked brawlers from 3 to 6 per season, and cut the season reset from 6 ranks to 2. The update also adds 3 new brawlers (Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby), 2 new Hypercharges (Cosmo and Vince), Buffies for Mr. P, Lou, Gale, Mandy, Chester and Berry, 18 community-designed competitive maps, and 2 seasons of skins (Brawl Vice, then Brawlidays). Shade and Gus take the heaviest hits, 7 nerf lines each.

What Changed in the November 2026 Balance Changes?

The November 2026 balance list has 70 change lines across 27 brawlers. Damage changes keep the same hits-to-charge for Supers unless a line says otherwise.

How Does the November 2026 Ranked Refresh Work?

The November 2026 Ranked Refresh is the largest Ranked rework since Ranked 2.0 in February 2025. Elo thresholds are unchanged; the Ranked mode guide and ranks explained carry them.

Ranked ruleBefore November 2026After November 2026
Unlock1,000 Trophies5,000 Trophies
Minimum brawler powerPower 9 (Bronze through Diamond)Power 11 at every rank
Diamond roster requirement9 brawlers12 brawlers (same as Mythic)
Free maxed brawlers per season36
Season reset6 ranks2 ranks
Best-of-three EloNot weighted by rounds wonExtra for a 2-0 Epic Win, smaller loss for a 1-2 Close Match
Brawl Arena unlock1,000 Trophies1,000 Trophies (unchanged)

Ranked teams are also no longer allowed at Masters I and above.

Impact: massive. The Power 11 floor and the 5,000-Trophy unlock make Ranked a maxed-account mode from the first game in Bronze. Players who already unlocked Ranked keep their access, and they earn a Chaos Drop at 5,000 Trophies instead of the unlock.

Impact: significant. The 2-rank reset means a Legendary I finisher now restarts at Mythic II rather than Diamond I, so the early-season grind through mismatched lobbies shrinks. Elo gains also rise in the early and middle ranks; the Rank Boost is unchanged.

Impact: significant. Doubling the free maxed brawlers from 3 to 6 each season offsets the Diamond requirement jumping from 9 to 12, so a player with 6 of their own Power 11s can now queue in Diamond.

Reaching Pro no longer qualifies a player for BSC 2027; players instead enter the Challengers Program through the Championship Challenge, which the BSC 2027 qualification guide covers in full. Supercell is not adding more ban phases for now, saying meta frustration is better fixed through balance changes.

What Is New in the Pick and Ban Screen?

The Pick and Ban screen gets a bigger grid that shows each brawler's Gadgets and Star Powers, class sorting by default, filters, ban suggestions, early pick-order swaps and quick chat for asking for a class, counter, role or lane. The final preparation screen adds a 3D map preview, Skin changes and its own quick chat; the drafting guide and the Brawler Map Checker help you use them.

Who Are Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby?

Thunder Frogs, Rey and Ruby are the 3 new brawlers. Supercell's Brawl Talk of October 31, 2026 says Thunder Frogs are "coming in November" and Rey and Ruby release in December, with one of them free to pick during the Brawlidays season.

What Do Thunder Frogs Do?

Thunder Frogs are a Legendary Artillery brawler made of 3 frogs, Zap, Zee and Volt. Triangle Trick sends frogs to target spots, and electricity surges in a triangle between all 3, with the sides hitting harder than the center; Frogzilla!, the Super, merges them into one big frog that jumps 3 times.

  • Gadgets: Double Jumpers launches 2 frogs for all ammo; Soothing Shock makes the next triangle heal allies for 2,000.
  • Star Powers: Leech Landing heals for 50% of Super jump damage; Swamp Stomps slows enemies on the edges by 15% for 2 seconds.
  • Hypercharge (Triple the Tricks): the Super-jump triangle deals 1,050 inside and 1,500 at the edges.

What Do Rey and Ruby Do?

Rey and Ruby are a Mythic pair linked by Power Couple: each main attack heals the partner (Rey heals Ruby for 800, Ruby heals Rey for 400), and each moves 10% faster toward the other. Rey is a Marksman whose marks make his shots hit harder; his Super, Endgame, aims for up to 3 seconds behind a 30% shield, then fires at every visible enemy in range, and his Hypercharge reveals invisible enemies with hyper marks worth up to 2,700 damage.

Ruby is a Damage Dealer whose Club and Diamond deal bonus damage when both hit. Her Super, Royal Flush, grounds enemies for 4 seconds while swirling shots deal 15% max health damage, which makes her a natural answer to tanks such as Hank, whose health rises to 6,000 in the same patch.

Which Brawlers Were Buffed in November 2026?

Ten brawlers were buffed in November 2026, and 3 of them (Chuck, Darryl and Melodie) also keep unused Super charges when they die.

  • Draco — Impact: massive. Super damage 1,120 to 1,620 (+44.6%) and Super damage reduction 20% to 25%, with damage now applied more consistently.
  • Shelly — Impact: significant. Main attack 300 to 340 and Super 320 to 360, both above +12%.
  • Ziggy — Impact: significant. Main attack 950 to 1,050, but The Great Ziggini's bonus falls from 18% to 7%, so his Star Power choice is now open.
  • Melodie — Impact: significant. Main attack 460 to 500, notes 920 to 1,000, and kept Super charges.
  • Chuck — Impact: significant. Reload 2,000 to 1,800 and kept Super charges, 2 months after his September rework.
  • Hank — Impact: small. Health 5,500 to 6,000, his second health buff in 2 months.
  • Darryl — Impact: small. Super 660 to 720 and kept Super charges.
  • Buster, Angelo and R-T — Impact: small. +10% trait Super charge near allies, 10% faster full charge and a 15% bigger projectile.

Which Brawlers Were Nerfed in November 2026?

Twelve brawlers were nerfed in November 2026, and Shade and Gus take 14 of the nerf lines between them.

  • Shade — Impact: massive. Health 3,700 to 3,400, Super lasts 4 seconds instead of 6, Super charge rate -12%, Jump Scare shield 1,000 to 400 on a 24-second cooldown, and Hardened Hoodie 30% to 20%. Every layer of his engage loses value at once.
  • Gus — Impact: massive. Spirits on the map capped at 3 instead of 10, Knockback Spirit damage 540 to 260 on a 26-second cooldown, Healing Bonanza 75% to 50%, and Super charge -8%. The spirit cap removes his stacked-shield setups.
  • Amber — Impact: significant. Dancing Flames cooldown 14s to 20s, Fire Starters 24s to 28s with barrel health 1,300 to 1,000, Super damage over time 480 to 400, and Hypercharge radius 1,600 to 1,200.
  • Max — Impact: significant. Trait Super charge from moving -23%, Sneaky Sneakers 18s to 24s and 3s to 2s, and Super Charged shield 4s to 3s.
  • Wendy — Impact: significant. Projectile size -20%, Wind-Powered range 15 to 10 and Slowing Shield 20% to 15%.
  • Ash — Impact: significant. Super charge from Super -40% and overall Super charge -15%, so his Supers chain far less often.
  • Brock — Impact: small. Hypercharge rate -28% and weaker More Rockets and Rocket No. 4 Buffies.
  • Rico — Impact: small. Robo Retreat speed 35% to 25%, and both Buffies trimmed.
  • Colette, Pierce, Maisie and Nori — Impact: small. One line each: Colette's Hypercharge second-projectile charge -75%, Pierce's last shot 1,500 to 1,400, Maisie 1,500 to 1,360, and Nori's Super 4% to 3% per fish.

Were the Nerfed Brawlers Already Falling Before the Patch?

Gus was already losing pick rate in 5 of 6 modes in TrophyCoach battle data before the November nerfs were announced. The table compares the October 26 and November 2, 2026 snapshots (each covering the 3 days before it, all on the pre-patch September balance), so it shows where these brawlers stood before the patch, not the patch's effect. Pick rates only; the sample is brawler appearances.

Brock stayed the most-picked of these brawlers even while falling, at 7.29% of Knockout picks over 2,749 appearances. Shade was outside the top 5 fallers shown in every mode. On the buff side, Mandy (who gets Buffies and a Base Kit change) rose 0.84 points in Heist to 3.16% over 767 appearances, and Shelly rose 0.79 points in Brawl Ball to 2.00% over 504 appearances, before either change landed.

Which Buffies and Hypercharges Arrive in November 2026?

The November 2026 update adds Buffies for 6 brawlers and Hypercharges for 2.

  • Mr. P: Service Bell buffs his current Porter by 114 damage and 740 health; its Buffie adds a 1,070 shield for both.
  • Lou: Ice Block becomes 2 seconds of invulnerability; Cold Snap adds 25% damage to any frozen or stunned enemy.
  • Gale: North Wind Wall redirects enemy projectiles; its Buffie speeds allied projectiles by 30%.
  • Mandy: In My Sights moves into her Base Kit, and the new In My Sights adds 1 tile of range per enemy hit while Focused.
  • Chester: always sees his next Super; Prankster's Surprise and Jester's Privilege (+30% Super charge from 4-bell hits) replace Spicy Dice and Sneak Peek.
  • Berry: Secret Formula replaces Healthy Additives, and Sticky Toppings becomes a 10% slow for 1 second.
  • Cosmo (Cosmic Capture): the hyper projectile homes and roots its target for 2 seconds.
  • Vince (Bug Swarm): his Super is always at max power and releases Hypercharged caterpillars.

See the Hypercharge guide and the Cosmo and Vince guide.

What New Modes, Maps and Seasons Are in the November 2026 Update?

The November 2026 update adds 4 modes and returns 2 more. Mega Showdown puts 20 players on a bigger map with bosses, robots and a mini-map; Counterlight is a 2-round race to capture 1 of 2 sites, each with 3 capture points; Super Hockey adds a chargeable puck and a goalkeeper in each net; and Jingle Brawls is the Christmas Topple the Tower, now with Look For Team. Loaded Showdown returns with 5 permanent power-ups, 3 consumables and 4 themed item sets, and Drumroll and Present Plunder come back.

Eighteen community-designed maps join the competitive rotation, 3 per mode: Framework, Sectioned and Sunken Harbor (Hot Zone); Human Nature, Passing Through and Front Tackle (Brawl Ball); Printstream, Fires Across and On the Lookout (Heist); Emotional Detachment, Don't Leaf Me and Ravenous Rapids (Gem Grab); Sound Waves, Dry Run and Pincer Movement (Knockout); and Endothermic Shift, Eye of the Beholder and Sudden Movement (Bounty). The competitive map pool guide explains how maps enter Ranked.

The 2 seasons are Brawl Vice (Bull and Poco Brawl Pass skins) and Brawlidays (Squeak and Draco Brawl Pass skins). The next Pro Pass season runs 3 months before Pro Pass becomes monthly, and each Ranked win now pays 60 Pro Pass XP, up to 1,200 a week.

What Quality-of-Life Changes Ship in November 2026?

The November 2026 update adds post-match stats to the Battle Log, a Ranked Play Again button, uninterrupted best-of-three spectating, Pin and Spray presets per brawler, Brawler Quests and chat improvements. Brawler Blast now offers a brawler choice on 100% of openings instead of 50%, with rarer high Gem fragment draws (Brawler Blast guide), and the 15-Gem Mega Quest is removed from November onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

When did the Brawl Stars November 2026 update come out?

The Brawl Stars November 2026 update's release notes were published by Supercell on November 3, 2026. They cover the Ranked Refresh, 3 new brawlers, 6 brawlers' Buffies and 27 brawlers' balance changes.

Did Shade get nerfed in November 2026?

Shade got 7 nerfs in November 2026: health 3,700 to 3,400, Super duration 6 seconds to 4, Super charge rate -12%, and Jump Scare's shield 1,000 to 400 among them. No other brawler in the patch has more nerf lines except Gus, who also has 7.

What do you need to play Ranked in Brawl Stars now?

Ranked now needs 5,000 Trophies to unlock and Power 11 brawlers at every rank, and Diamond and Mythic need 12 of them. Each season provides 6 free maxed brawlers, up from 3, and players who unlocked Ranked before the update keep access and get a Chaos Drop at 5,000 Trophies instead.

How much do you drop at the Brawl Stars Ranked season reset now?

The Brawl Stars Ranked season reset now drops you 2 ranks instead of 6. Seasons are still monthly and the Rank Boost is unchanged.

Can you still qualify for BSC 2027 by reaching Pro rank?

Pro rank no longer qualifies players for BSC 2027. The November 2026 notes remove that pathway, and players instead enter the Challengers Program through the Championship Challenge to compete their way into BSC starting in 2027.

Is Gus still good after the November 2026 nerfs?

Gus loses his 10-spirit stacking (now capped at 3), more than half of Knockback Spirit's damage (540 to 260) and a third of Healing Bonanza's bonus (75% to 50%), so his stacked-shield setups are gone. In TrophyCoach battle data he was already falling in 5 of 6 modes before the patch, including -1.64 points in Brawl Ball.

Are Rey and Ruby better together?

Rey and Ruby share the Power Couple trait, so together each heals the other with every main attack (Rey heals Ruby for 800, Ruby heals Rey for 400) and moves 10% faster toward the partner. Either works alone, but the trait only triggers when both are on the same team.
