The new Clash of Clans UI is live: Supercell's 28-item button map, the 4-tab Build menu, and its October 15, 2026 answers to 8 complaints, including the XP bar.
The last Hammer Jam (November 1–17, 2025) halved upgrade costs and times. That makes every Builder and Research Potion worth double, while a Hammer or Book saves half as much. What to stockpile, what to finish now at TH17/TH18, and what is actually known about Town Hall 19.
The Portal Challenge runs October 6–13, 2026 for every Town Hall: a preset army of 10 Totem Throwers, 8 Totem Spells and 4 Heroes against a 3-minute diamond base. Step-by-step deployment for 3 stars and the 400 XP, 25 Gems and Hero Potion reward.
The Portal Pendant is the Minion Prince's 3rd Epic equipment (live October 8, 2026): an active recall that pulls him and nearby troops and Heroes back to the deployment bar for a hasted, healed redeploy. How it works, how it compares with his 6 other pieces, and when to swap it in.
Cosmic Curse: Portal Panic runs October 1–31, 2026 with 21 dated windows: the new Totem Thrower temporary troop (via Battle Options, the Mass Troop Event and the Medal Event), 50 free Totem Throwers on October 7–8 (TH10+), the Portal Panic Medal Event and its new Portal Pendant Epic Equipment for the Minion Prince, six Hero Skins, two Battle Options windows, and the new Cosmic Streak Community Event.
The WWE: Search for Cena event runs September 1–30, 2026, with the John Cena Challenge (Challenger Contracts grant 24 hours per attempt window, 2 stars minimum for Cody's Callout), four rotating temporary WWE troops, five WWE Hero Skins landing September 3–10, and the Jey Uso Minion Prince skin on the September Gold Pass.
The Clash of Cards event runs August 1–31, 2026 for every player at TH3+, with trading open until September 2 at 08:00 UTC. Milestones pay out at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 distinct cards, and the Trader converts 2 duplicates into 1 targeted card — but you need 3 copies to use it.
The Awesome Quest season runs August 1–31, 2026 with 20 dated windows: Clash of Cards, three new Crafted Defenses at TH11+, six Hero Skins, a mass-troop event, and the Awesome Medal Event. No balance changes shipped in August — the July 2026 patch is still the current balance state.
Crafted Defenses Season 4 opened August 1, 2026 with three new defenses at Town Hall 11 and up. Each has three independently upgradeable modules, all defend while upgrading, and you can switch between them anytime — and the current Crafting Phase runs to roughly the end of December 2026.
TH17 air spam wins by deleting Air Defenses first — the Giant Arrow deals double damage to them, a level-27 Rocket Backpack lands 2,150 penetrating damage, and Supercell's announced October 2026 Fire Heart nerf trims the Duke's max-level healing from 150 to 140 per second.
The July 9, 2026 balance update nerfs Dragon Duke (trap damage reduction 40% → 20%), trims Dragon Rider, cuts the TH Guardian's rolling range by 2 tiles, and hands Meteor Golem its biggest buff yet.
One war army and one farming army for every Town Hall from TH8 to TH18 — from Mass Dragons and Barch at TH8–TH10 to Fireball Super Yetis and Root Rider Yeti at TH17–TH18 — with the composition reasoning behind each.
The October 2026 war archetypes by Town Hall: mass Dragons and GoWiPe at TH7 to TH9, Queen Charge Hybrid and LavaLoon at TH10 to TH13, Root Rider smash, Super Yeti charge and Hydra air at TH16 to TH18, and Ruin Witch armies at TH18, plus what Supercell's October 17 balance changes mean for your war army.
Prioritize the Archer Queen's Action Figure, the Barbarian King's Spiky Ball, the Royal Champion's Electro Boots, and the Grand Warden's Eternal Tome — then spend Shiny, Glowy, and Starry Ore in that order across all 6 heroes.
Builder Base 2.0 uses two-stage attacks worth up to 6 stars, has no daily attack limit, needs 7-12 stars for a Star Bonus that recharges every 22 hours (two can stack), and unlocks B.O.B — a permanent 6th builder for your home village.
Raid Weekends run Friday to Monday, each member gets 5 attacks, and coordinated Capital Gold contributions plus smart district order turn Raid Medals into Clan Castle reinforcements and Trader rewards.
Clan War Leagues run a monthly 7-war season (8 days) across 22 league rungs from Bronze III to Legend, give each member 1 attack per war day, and pay League Medals that scale by tier plus a bonus pool that grows one slot per war won.
New Clash of Clans players progress fastest by keeping all builders busy, upgrading heroes and the Laboratory first, and joining a clan in week one across the 18 Town Hall levels.
Sneaky Goblins, a mid-tier Ranked league (Archer to Witch) as your farming home, and storage-first raiding let TH11-TH18 accounts bank millions of gold and elixir per hour with armies that have been free to train since June 2022.
The Dragon Duke unlocks at Hero Hall 9 / TH15, becomes enraged for roughly triple damage when no friendly air units are near, and works best flown solo ahead of a ground army rather than paired with dragons.
The Hero Hall caps every hero by its own level — from level 1 at Town Hall 4 to level 12 at Town Hall 18 — gating all 6 heroes from the Barbarian King to the Dragon Duke.
Find a good Clash of Clans clan by filtering clan search for war frequency, location, and minimum clan points, then reading the war log win rate, donation ratio, and leadership activity before you join.
Three-starring a Clash of Clans war base is a 5-step process: scout the base, match a strategy, build a two-sided funnel, deploy on the weak side, and time spells around heroes and hero abilities.
The Queen Charge Hybrid pairs a 4-5 Healer queen walk with 14-20 Hogs or Miners to clear both halves of a base and 3-star most TH13-TH16 war layouts.
A Queen Charge pairs the Archer Queen with 4 to 6 Healers to clear one flank of a base; master healer counts, two-sided funneling, Recall timing, and the defenses that kill her — single-target Infernos and Archer Towers.
Returning Clash of Clans players face Town Hall 18, a 6th hero in the Dragon Duke, the Hero Hall building, hero equipment upgraded with 3 ore types, and a fully separate Clan Capital game mode.
Root Rider Smash pairs 7-10 Root Riders with hero funneling and 4-6 support spells to 3-star TH15-TH17 bases, and it stays the most beginner-friendly high-TH army and the archetype has not been nerfed since June 2024 — Root Rider gained a level 4 on April 27, 2026.
Legend League is reached by weekly promotion from Electro League 33; Legend I grants 5,000 trophies on sign-up, then runs a fixed 8 attacks and 8 defenses per League Day (5:00 AM UTC reset) at up to 40 trophies per battle across a 4-week season.
War weight is the hidden per-item value that decides Clan War matchmaking, and matchmaking has weighed both offense and defense since the 2016 overhaul — so engineered and rushed bases barely help.
The correct Clash of Clans upgrade order is heroes first, then the Laboratory, then offense buildings, then defenses — because offense compounds across every attack you make on the way to Town Hall 18.
Upgrade the Archer Queen and Grand Warden first across TH11–TH18, keep at least one hero home during wars, and let TrophyCoach's Upgrade Priority Advisor sequence the other 4 heroes for your account.
